Rural Heat offers complete renewable heat solutions by installing state of the art biomass fuelled boilers under three main types of contract:

  • Direct Purchase - You purchase all the equipment. Rural Heat installs the equipment which is serviced and maintained through an Annual Service Agreement. An optional additional heat contract can be taken out for Rural Heat to supply all biomass fuel required and payment terms are monthly or quarterly based on KWh used.
  • Asset Financing – Rural Heat’s finance partner purchases the equipment and pays all project costs on your behalf. Rural Heat installs the equipment and can separately, fuel, service and maintain the equipment. You pay a fixed monthly financing charge plus variable fuel, service & maintenance costs.
  • Managed Service Contract – Rural Heat’s finance partner purchases the equipment and pays all project costs on your behalf. Rural Heat installs the equipment, provides the fuel, services and maintains the equipment. You pay a single monthly charge comprising a fixed financing repayment plus a service charge based on kWh supplied.
  • Energy Services Contract (ESCO) - You enter a long-term agreement for Rural Heat to supply and install all equipment, run the facility, provide the fuel, service and maintain the equipment. The monthly charges are calculated per kWh supplied. Rural Heat retains ownership of the equipment throughout. Terms of 15 – 20 years provide peace of mind, giving long-term protection from increasing fossil fuel costs. With the support of the North Wessex Downs Leader programme, Rural Heat has built the first purpose built woodchip drying facility in the South West and will be happy to give further information and advice about this.
