Negotiation of new contract farming agreement

The Problem

A new Contract Farming Agreement needed to be negotiated with a farming company.  The farmers wished to actively participate in the profits on the land and to operate a farming business whilst at the same time limiting their exposure to risk.

The Solution

A 5 year Contract Farming Agreement was negotiated which achieved a return equivalent to the Single Payment and Entry Level Scheme with an additional 10% of the profits.

The Result

The family continued to operate their farming business whilst significantly reducing the risk of price variations for the arable crops being grown.

The Cost

We charged £15 per acre to establish this contract.
